systems Negligence leads accidental attack on Bapuji
When we watch movies (especially Indian ones), we get to know the facts as to how an innocent is ensnared in false & frivolous cases of rape. In the Bollywood movie – ‘Tiranga’, how the innocent people are trapped in false rape case by the girl (under pressure of her political minded father) and how those innocents were attacked by the conspirators in garb of police personnel with malafide intent to kill those, make the movie worth watching. Haven’t these reel-life stories actually been taken from real – life ones? Or is it so that the real life stories are connected with such reel stories?
Perhaps this is going to happen in a well-known saint – H.H. Asharam Bapuji’s case, suspects Mr. Suresh Chavhanke, Editor-in-Chief of Sudarshan channel.
But this is life. If such things are happening in and around, it is a matter of great concern for legislators and intellectuals. And in case of revered saint – Asharam Bapuji (Endearingly called ‘Bapuji’), provisions of laws are embroiling the case day by day. How the conspirators defeat the philanthropic deeds of Bapuji, is the story which is never presented in a positive or even a neutral way. A saint is shown as a culprit, and we start seeing through the glasses of “paid media”. Hence we have hardly any respect for our culture. As far as arena of works & social activities undertaken by Bapuji is concerned, it’s well-known fact that it’s not restricted to mere Hinduism; rather, He has always worked for humanity, in-fact the whole universe. The motto of this saint is ‘sabka mangal, sabka bhala’ i.e. wishing and working in public interest. But no one could do positive for him till date; ever since he got unjustly incarcerated. Conspiracies are going on and on. Administration is silently watching and is hardly lending any ear to the fears aroused after killing of the witnesses in the fake, alleged rape case. Why aren’t these witnesses given any security, when physical and mental harm is suspected and is quite obvious too?
Even the apprehensions of physical harm to Bapuji are in the social media, but administration watches it quietly, not sure whether its waiting for such things to turn into reality; otherwise, how come nothing has been done to enhance the security of such an innocent saint? On the other hand, our so called “neutral and unbiased” media took no pains to present the facts and fears of the case in their respective news bulletins.
Positive facts related to case, like – Ms. Sudha Patel (public witness) confessed that she was under pressure when she signed the documents against Bapuji (and that too without her knowledge) were not even covered by media, who otherwise never misses any opportunity to speak ill making “sensational news” out of nothing, that too within no time once any rumour related to Bapuji is in the air. Movies probably depict the truth that our police reaches much later after the incident has already taken place and judiciary, – instead of giving justice, ridicules justice by giving “tareekh – pe – tareekh” (adjournments), a hit dialogue that almost every Indian adult is well aware of. It’s a well-known fact that journalism can be sold and bought at the expenses of one’s conscience.
When a witness is killed by the conspirators, be it “favorable” or “unfavorable” for the case, isn’t it the responsibility of the judiciary to protect all those? Without that, the justice is actually denied. Such incident might encourage the conspirators to access Bapuji, and even to attack him, by later on depicting the same in the files as an “accidental attack” on Bapuji by unidentified people or they may be in the garb of the Police personnel, as we watch in the movies as mentioned above.
Let me discuss the things of history, i.e. the time when Father of the Nation – Mahatma Gandhi had done a lot in public interest. Conspirators were hatching conspiracies to kill him. Politicians and the administration were well aware of the type and level of the harm expected towards Gandhiji, yet they let the conspirators succeed in their endeavors without the administration doing any proper arrangements in the prayer assembly; however, thereafter he (Mahatma Gandhi’s photo) is placed in court rooms, on Indian currency notes and the specific Raj-Ghat in Delhi for the visitors; which actually proves as to how careless we are when a person is alive and how much we respect when the same person is martyred.
So is this administration waiting for further martyrs? Many of the witnesses are killed, regardless of whether or not they were in favour of Bapuji. Why is that so? Obvious answer is: to create insecurity amongst Bapuji’s followers!
In terms of system and modus-opreandi, what else has this nation given us other than insecurities? Financial, social, moral, ethical all kinds of insecurities, there is probably no end to this series.
Sarcasm apart, we wish security and respect for our revered saint well in advance, not after the success of the conspirators. Will the nation give this security to us for our venerable saint? Or the list of killing witnesses will go similar to the ‘Vyapam case’ and all such killings will be added in the crime list of Bapuji and the forecast of Mr. Suresh Chavhanke will be true, depicting a criminal shot in encounter or by concocting tales against him.
If we want the society to be free of crime, the system (judiciary and/ or legislature – whoever is responsible) ought to release those who are innocent, that too – with dignity and provide security to those who are kept in prisons depicted and ensnared in false cases as criminals – the saints – our true well- wishers. Otherwise, one can expect to face the worst ever plight by the bullies, conspirators, missionaries and paid media, who otherwise won’t give any remarks on the bad plight of nation; for which – directly or indirectly we are responsible.
