Sensational U-turn in Surat Rape Case – Judiciary still ignorant
A renowned saint with huge followership is worshipped amongst media and public. All of a sudden a series of crimes is credited to his account. His benevolence is considered as a trick to allure girls and his altruistic deeds are considered as tantrums to impress public. He, the true saint, is then put behind the bars as a criminal. All his work done in public good becomes in vain once incarcerated. A true saint, rather than being appreciated or awarded, becomes a sore in the eyes of conspirators. His image is tarnished by print as well as electronic media. No one wants to hear or discuss about him; why so?
The conspirators got success in their endeavors and we people are watching it as fools since 16 months. Aren’t we united enough to fail their efforts to humiliate a saint – Sant Shri Asharam Ji Bapu (endearingly called “Bapuji”)?
Don’t we have enough courage to defeat their conspiracies?
Probably not! We have apprehensions in our minds that if we go procedurally we get nothing but injustice.
What we got a couple of days back – on December 22nd in prolonged discussions after a year or so, when the alleged rape victim in Surat rape case somehow mustered courage to face all odds to speak out what she actually wished to say despite being under pressure and coercion?
The court rescinded the application and moved further in the case. When the alleged rape victim is ready to confess and affirm that her statements recorded under section 164 are false, frivolous and baseless, why isn’t she given an opportunity to speak what is actually the truth? Which people are involved in creating fear in her mind? Doesn’t it give an impression in our mind that some of the people might be in cahoots with the conspirators who are proceeding in the case further without any reason, seemingly unmindful of the fact that for the past 1 plus year the girl (the supposed “victim”) was being forced to say something that actually didn’t even take place?
On the other hand, media is creating rumors that the alleged rape victim is missing and it is disseminated amongst public that the alleged rape victim went to attend one of her relative’s marriage and that in the meantime she, her husband and son were kidnapped or killed on the instructions of Bapuji. The alleged rape victim was supposedly living with security personnel to avoid any harm to her family, which she clearly denied according to the reports. Is it any fault of Bapuji, even if it is true at all?
It is the same media that was eager to spread the news of Bapuji’s innocence on December 21st by saying that the alleged rape victim was willing to alter her statements for which she had forwarded a petition. Click Here for Video
It is quite obvious that in any case of the alleged rape victim and her family being missing, it is a matter of worry for Bapuji and his disciples as she had plans to amend her statements that would have undoubtedly gone in favor of Bapuji.
If she or any member of her family is killed or abducted, the accountability goes to Bapuji as per the conspirators who want nothing but complicate the case of his bail and release.
Similar kind of undue influence had happened in Meerut case last year, when the alleged rape victim explicitly mentioned that she and her family went to Vaishno Devi temple in order to save their skin from the conspirators who were constantly pushing them to give frivolous statements to entangle Bapuji in false rape case. That concocted tale has already been proved baseless. Now the history seems to have repeated again with recent Surat story being of the same series. But the media – the 4th pillar of our democracy, instead of performing its genuine duty & obligation to spread neutral & unbiased news, is busy disseminating the rumors.
Some day or the other, the truth has to come out; which judiciary is reluctant to know or reveal.
What can be drawn and inferred of all these circumstances? How can a Shrine of Justice – the ‘court’ seemingly ignore the truthful prayers of alleged rape victims who are undergoing the pressure of so many factors, but somehow managed to speak the truth something according to what their conscience say? How can one be deprived of justice in this manner by rejection of the petition, is a moot question, still unanswered.
It is a denial of justice not only towards Bapuji, but also towards the girls who were forced to lie (under pressure) in the very beginning of this case and also to the millions of Bapuji’s devotees who keep persistent belief that the truth triumphs one day.
Is judiciary competent enough to prove the belief of the number of people or fails to do so, this vests in future decisions, which will in-turn prove to the generations to come as to how fair our jurists have been in their times to decide the cases.
