Nobel to Missionary promoter and Nothing for Real Saint
Who is your ideal person – Mother Teresa? When it comes to the names of big time social reformers / workers / activists of India, isn’t this the first name that pops-up in our mind, which is undoubtedly a result of generic impression made in our innocent minds during our childhood through media propaganda? We were taught in such a manner that Mother Teresa was made adorable in public eye, irrespective of what she has given to our nation as “Missionary Promoters”.
Running missionaries in India is not a sin, but to deceive one’s religious, or for that matter, any sentiment is something that can never be appreciated. Mother Teresa, the lady of European (Albanian) origin, had the motive to convert people of India (from Hindus to Christians) in the garb of a saintly lady who never wished anything for herself but collected fund for her “own” people whom she was “supposedly” serving, thus deceiving the people all over the world and showing-off to have served the poor and the sick. A team of some researchers of Canada found Mother Teresa’s way of treating & helping the poor and the sick, suspicious. Her way of handling monetary fund was found doubtful too.
On the other hand, no one allured us about our own pristine glory by making us aware of the history of Sage Kapila, a Vedic sage (one of the founders of Samkhya School of Philosophy) and His mother Devahuti; and in this era – Saint Shri Asharamji Bapu and His late mother – Maa Mehengiba.
Mother Teresa was given awards for her alleged philanthropic deeds but Maa Mehengiba was hardly in any news coverage!
Why media and our nation’s authorities have been so reluctant in appreciating and adoring our own people, who have been leading a simple life and giving the message of humanity. Saint Shri Asharamji Bapu (hereinafter “Bapuji”), a self-realized saint, came on earth in this incarnation and thus mother Mehengiba was blessed with this divine child. Even before his birth, a merchant arrived at his parents’ house and gifted a cradle to his mother telling that a divine soul would come on earth soon at their home and that the gift was meant for that divine soul. This divine child (now “Bapuji”) played in the lap of the luckiest ever mother and learnt as to how meditate and worship God. He later on emerged as a spiritual leader and thousands of people have been initiated by Him. His mother – Maa Mehengiba also got initiated by Him and abode by all His preaching till her last breath. She initially wished to divert Him towards worldly pleasures but when she found and realized that He is a real divine soul, she bowed her head before Him and accepted Him as her Guru; the same is what had happened with Devahuti, who was instructed in the philosophy of yoga and devotional worship by her own son – Sage Kapila.
It is very difficult for a mother who has seen her child play and grow in her own lap, to accept her child as a Guru and become his disciple, but she did it successfully. She remained helpful in all His philanthropic deeds. She was into such a deep state of trance that even in the absence of Bapuji, she could interact with Him and could easily take guidance from Him, as per the real time experience of some senior dedicated disciples who’d witnessed such Guru-disciple / Son-Mother bond.
Number of social & moral reforming activities / Sewa (for children, women and youth education & upliftment, de-addiction campaigns, serving cows, the poor and the sick without pomposity and limelight) is being run in the aegis of Bapuji and when alive, Maa Mehengiba was also handling the activities of ashram under His guidance. During her ill health, Bapuji gave her health tips and health mantra in order for her to regain energy and serve humanity. Despite all negative reports in medical and health check-ups, she survived from untimely death due to Bapuji’s blessings and left her mortal coil in healthy conditions by chanting Guru – Mantra after few years as destined, keeping in mind that it’s the body that dies and not the soul.
Isn’t it an irony that media hardly covers such news bytes? It’s just because of this “biased-media” (paid-media) that someone like Mother Teresa became a celebrity, an icon in our minds; while the philanthropic deeds and contribution of saintly mother – Mehengiba or Devahuti, is oblivious.
Mother Teresa is honored by Nobel Prize and Bharat Ratna (along with many international awards, which is very obvious for someone like her of European origin, who was supposedly “exceptional” in her deeds), while the holy mother like Maa Mehengiba is adored only in ashram premises and the whole world is unaware of her contribution to the society in the form of a saint of Highest Order – Bapuji.
“Nobel” to Mother Teresa and “No bail” to Bapuji in false and frivolous rape case is what creates apprehensions of conspiracy by our own people. We wish and pray that may our society realize the significance of a self-realized saint and do the necessary in understanding and respecting the dignity of our saint (Bapuji), thus remembering the death anniversary of His pious mother Maa Mehengiba on account of Rama Ekadashi (that falls in the Krishna Paksha of this holy month of Kartika).
