India is considered as a country where spirituality is much adored than materialism. But many-a-times it is seen that everything comes as a trend and becomes outdated as fashion. Majority of people do not have a regular thought-process and the right information on the current issues and hence can’t take a firm stand. The thoughts & actions of such people are generally biased by the media & other related channels due to which they tend to be overtaken by incorrect thoughts and whatever has been taught and fed to them by creating rumours remains with them for long.
Is spirituality or following a spiritual guru a fashion?
Does it become outdated when somebody is ensnared into any frivolous case?
Why is it so that a spiritual Guru who is adored all over the world all of a sudden becomes a “villain” in public opinion and all his preaching and teachings go waste?
Has history taught to us to learn from the mistakes of our ancestors or acquire more expertise in doing and repeating the same? So many questions are moving in my mind and may be in yours too, but we need to search the answers so that the next generations don’t come up with the same questions, for which we have no adequate answers so far.
To correlate today’s incidents with those of history, I quote some instances, such as the tale that Gautam Buddha, who had a long followership, was ensnared into false case with a prostitute; Guru Nanak Dev ji and the 10 Gurus sacrificed their lives in hardships, Sai Baba was not given oil to light the lamps and had to do so with water only.
Mental & physical torture, abuses, defamation – all these things fall into the plates of – those who are enlightened and want us to be self-realized too. But we make the same mistakes that Aurangzeb and other assassins, who failed to give respect to those who deserved it during their life time; would have made in their times and later did some philanthropic deeds and started worshipping such great people when they weren’t even alive to witness their deeds or guide them to grow morally & spiritually.
Everybody would have heard the story of cap seller and monkeys. The further version of the story is that – the cap seller’s next generation went for a journey and stopped at place where his ancestors would stop and slept there beneath a tree; monkeys came, took all of his caps and went back to the tree. He recalled the story told by his ancestors and threw his cap so that monkeys could do the same, but instead of throwing their caps, one of the monkeys came down, took that cap and went back to the tree; thus conveying their smartness.
The moral of the story is that – the monkeys had learnt from their ancestors not to repeat the mistakes their ancestors had done, but we humans have been repeating the same things without showing any signs of improvement.
Once a spiritual leader comes into the limelight, on one hand, people come, wait in long queues for hours to listen to his discourses or at least take a glance at him; and on the other hand, conspirators, jealous of someone’s fame, cook up a defamatory story against such saints, thus trying to “temporarily” convince the number of followers and devotees to forget as to how much the society has gained from such pious personalities and thus the truth becomes obscure. However, the Truth finally comes out after years, when hardly anybody remains to give relevant clarifications to the public and reveal the truth behind the story.
The philanthropic deeds of Sant Shri Asharamji Bapu cannot be forgotten, as he is somebody who has been consistently serving the humanity for decades; while conspirators have been framing stories one after another to defame him and his ashrams in various frivolous cases like land encroachment, death of children in Gurukul, woman molestation, liquor selling, drugs supply, illegal armaments, hidden treasures etc etc. All these fake allegations are presented in such a way that a saint appears as a terrorist and someone un-wanted in public opinion. This is an attack on our culture while nobody, as responsible Indian citizens, seem to take it seriously. Instead, a doubt is created and people of un-formed opinions again start following modernism and Western culture, bypassing their own dignity and glory of the culture.
Such doubts and confusions remain in the minds of public and nobody takes pain to present the case discarding all allegations that later on are certainly going to be proved as false, baseless and defamatory. False and baseless murder case was instituted against honourable Shankaracharya of Kanchi – Jayendra Saraswati and he was proved innocent after a horrible 10 year struggle.
The U.S. Federal Court issued nearly half a million dollar judgment against South Indian actress – Aarthi S. Rao, fake victim in rape case framed against Swami Nithyananda. The medical tests on Sri Nithyananda Swami prove that he is physically incapable of a normal human physical relationship. This directly falsifies the allegations of rape made by the alleged rape victim who claims of having been raped over 40 times over 5 years. This is in addition to the observation that the false rape victim herself has been suffering from an incurable, highly contagious STD (Sexually Transmitted Disease) since at least year 2004, while Sri Nithyananda Swami was found “clean”. Further, Ex-COO of Sun TV informed the public that the video was morphed by Sun TV for blackmailing in Nithyanand Swami ji’s case.
The Hon’ble High Court of Karnataka issued an order staying action against Nithyananda Gurukul for which defamatory, malicious contents have been spread by the television channel Samaya. FBI (Federal Bureau of Investigation) Academy specialist Dr. McIlroy, has categorically stated analyzing the medical reports of Sri Nithyananda Swami and false rape victim Aarthi Rao, that the rape incidents against Sri Nithyananda Swami are false and untenable.
I would like to bring to the public notice that national television news channel Aaj Tak, followed by Telugu television channel aired public apology to Paramahamsa Nithyananda for having aired defamatory items featuring the morphed video and would like to be apprised to media personnel to keep the facts in their minds before disseminating any concocted tales on our revered saints and Gurujis who fail to bring to the notice of ordinary unwary public when one minister’s son cannot be arrested as anticipatory bail application is pending in court though the arrest warrant is issued . In case of Pujya Nithyananda Swami, in spite of pending anticipatory bail application, police was running pillar to post to arrest him and in the end, managed to arrest the saint. Moreover, he was declared as absconding. Are there different sets of law in the country for saint / common man and politicians?
We have to raise our voice unanimously to discontinue biased media’s working on spreading false and baseless allegation and building unnecessary hype in order to keep our nation’s integrity and cultural dignity impervious by conspirators’ efforts.
