Agony innocent disciples loss nation who cares
To realize the value of ten years, ask a newly divorced couple.
To realize the value of one year, ask a student who has failed in the final exam.
To realize the value of 9 months, ask a mother who gave birth to stillborn.
To realize the value of one month, ask a mother who gave birth to a premature baby.
To realize the value of a week, ask the editor of a weekly newspaper.
To realize the value of an hour, ask the lovers who are waiting to meet.
To realize the value of a minute, ask a person who has missed the train, bus or plane.
To realize the value of a second, ask a person who survived in an accident.
To realize the value of a millisecond, ask a person who won a silver medal in Olympics.
You may have heard or read the above poem, to which I’d like to add an important line: Ask H.H. Sant Shri Asharam Bapu ji’s (Hereinafter “Bapuji”)’s disciples the value of time from the day he was arrested ruthlessly by the police and imprisoned despite being innocent.
Following is what his sadhaks and devotees have missed during this period:-
September :-Atma Sakshatkar Diwas, Navratras, Vijay Dashmi
October :- Sharad Poonam
November :- Deepawali, Kartik Purnima
December :- Poonam
January :- Makar Sankranti, Uttrayan Shivirs
February :- Matri Pitr Poojan Diwas
March :- Holi
April :- Avtaran Diwas
May :- Poonam
June :- Poonam
July :- Guru Poonam
August :- Narayali Poonam and Rakshabandhan, Janmashtami.
On all such occasions, disciples gathered near the jail and court premises at Jodhpur, where Bapuji is currently locked-up and has his court proceedings running, longed for mere a glimpse of their divine Guru (i.e. Bapuji), offered fruits, flowers, garlands in these territories and assuming his presence, bowed their heads, collected the soil particles and applied those on their foreheads. Many times Bapuji waved his hands consoling his followers to keep patience, wrote letter to his devotees to cooperate with the administration keeping his full faith towards judiciary. Public lit the lamps near jail premises at Diwali and this place became a pilgrimage. Bapuji touched a bottle of water of Ganges (Ganga-jal) and that was distributed amongst all disciples present over there. People circumambulated near jail. Near Holi, disciples smeared colors near jail premises in the hope that on following Poonam (full-moon day), their Gurudev would be released on bail. Every festival went on without his presence amongst disciples. Janmashtami celebration was without his prashad of ‘makhan-mishri’. This Rakshabandhan made the post office personnel and the delivery boys mad as millions of letters & envelopes with Rakhi (self-made by disciples) were received and all read the same name and address, i.e. Sant Shri Asharamji Bapu (Bapuji), Central Jail, Jodhpur. He was missed by all his disciples on Avtaran diwas (incarnation day) and Atmasakshatkar diwas (self-realization day) as well. Despite huge calm protests and rallies by women, men and children in various cities and towns, the result is Zero and all what the disciples got from the administration and judiciary is nothing. A couple of months back, close to Guru-Poonam, Bapuji even jumped near the barricade to take a look at His disciples.
A saint who was accessible at every satsang, regardless of the time and location, is being kept out of reach of his own disciples. Isn’t it unfortunate for the disciples or the nation as a whole?
So my version of the lines quoted in the very beginning, on behalf of millions of devotees and followers of Bapuji, would go as under:
To realize the value of one year, ask a disciple, who has not seen his Guruji/Bapuji for a year or could not get the mantra – diksha/initiation.
To realize the value of one month, ask a ‘Poonam vrat dhari’ (full-moon day fast observer)’, who has waited to see Bapuji once, but failed.
To realize the value of one week, ask a disciple, who used to regularly attend a week’s spiritual upliftment camp, something that hasn’t been possible from the date Bapuji is embroiled in false rape case.
To realize the value of one day, ask a person, when he surrendered himself before Guruji/Bapuji and became disciple on mantra diksha occasion (initiation).
To realize the value of one hour, ask a disciple about the hour that he spent with Bapuji, for which the disciples have been yearning for past more than a year now.
To realize the value of one minute, ask a disciple who got a glimpse of Bapuji smiling and blessing him sitting in His cabin or car.
To realize the value of one second, ask a disciple, who could hardly see Bapuji, when His car suddenly went off the pre-decided route.
To realize the value of one millisecond, ask a disciple who could get a glimpse of Bapuji despite all hurdles and forces by administration when He is taken from jail to court in an uncomfortable prisoner carrier bus.
All these things are beyond explanation, beyond words.
How much loss to the nation and humanity within a span of past one year?
Bapuji used to hold 3-5 days satsang (discourse) at a place, in which thousands of people would initiate, thereby leaving vices like alcohol, tobacco and drugs. The consumption of such narcotic drugs and toxic elements is supposed to have increased during the period of past one year and the use of allopathic medicines has also augmented; further side-effects of such medicines are multifold.
Masses would gather at a place where discourse session was to be held and the transport means buses, trains and planes would get occupied, once the place was confirmed. Thousands of tickets were all of a sudden cancelled at the instance Bapuji changed the spot for carrying out satsang session and thousands of tickets were reserved for the destination decided by Bapuji. This way he increased tourism and scope for vendors, hawkers, fruits sellers, accommodation providers etc. They must be suffering a great loss in terms of earnings.
Students, through teachers and by other sources were tend towards initiation for their overall growth and progress, as those students who remain deprived of being initiated are more prone to commit offences, may also get depressed or commit suicide in the present scenario.
Administration is pretending to be unable to understand the conspiracy of shaking our faith in our religious saints. It is certainly not a case of rape with the alleged rape victim, but it is the rape with our culture and social norms which could keep one safe & secure in the society.
Can judiciary understand the loss incurred by the disciple in terms of emotions?
Had it (judiciary) been so competent, we would have never got an adjournment for bail with regard to Bapuji’s case.
We do not want judiciary to decide as in the story written by Russian writer & philosopher- Leo Tolstoy and translated by Munshi Premchand into a story named “Kshamadaan”, in which an innocent suffers at the expenses of the offence committed by a rich person and that rich person is ensnared in another case in the same jail – after many years, forgiving such person the innocent one leaves for heavenly abode.
When will judiciary decide on the facts and not on the fabricated evidence, which has been prevalent since Leo Tolstoy or Munshi Premchand’s era ?
The goddess of law needs to open her eye on this Navratra so that judiciary may decide in favor of an innocent saint by strongly denying the cooked-up stories by alleged rape victim.
May God give sufficient sense to judiciary to decide appropriately !
